Tamakwa’s 2026 CITs are raising money to make Winter Warmth Kits for Jewish Child & Family Services.
A Winter Warmth Kit provided by Kits For a Cause provides warmth and protection during extreme cold weather and may include gloves or mittens, thermal socks, polar fleece blanket or an emergency blanket, warm winter hat or toque, fleece scarf, lip balm, body lotion, and a sleeping bag.
We will be packing kits on December 13th!

Kits for a Cause is an organization that helps connect charities across North America with groups and individuals who are looking to get involved, give back and make an impact.
Example of Winter Warmth Kit items that can be included: Gloves or mittens, thermal socks, polar fleece blanket or an emergency blanket, warm winter hat or toque, fleece scarf, lip balm, body lotion, and a sleeping bag and packed into a cinch bag or a backpack.
Jewish Family and Child Service is a multi-service agency that strengthens and supports individuals, children and families, serving the Jewish community and all others who seek support.
HOW CAN I GET INVOLVED?
With your donation, we can support Jewish Child and Family Services in their mission to bring warmth and care to individuals and families in our community this winter.
Our goal: raising enough funds to donate 100 much-needed kits.
Every $20 brings us one kit closer to our goal.
You can choose to donate 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 kits and make a direct impact.
We are proud members of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA). This organization plays an important leadership role in promoting and encouraging children and youth camping in Ontario, as well as setting high standards for safety and care of campers.
